This exquisite handmade Peruvian quilted wall hanging depicts a rural harvest scene and is a typical arpillera tapestry.

Arpilleras or cuadros are three dimensional hand-sewn appliqué embroideries, illustrating in meticulous detail the stories of the lives of the women of Peru who create them.
This arpillera has been made entirely by hand by a small cooperative of women in Lima from their homes and around their own schedules, providing essential income for their families.
Due to the handmade nature of this piece, colours and details may vary slightly from those pictured.
