The German Alphabet tapestry (das deutsche Alphabet) is a hand-embroidered wool wall hanging designed to sit at the heart of a child’s room.
An heirloom gift for a new baby, first birthday or Christening — something to grow up with, from bedtime stories to first words and all the small everyday moments of childhood.
Each tapestry takes approximately two months to complete. Produced in small, considered batches, no two are exactly alike — each one carrying the subtle variations of true hand embroidery.

Yes. Moppet tapestries are made in the Kashmir Valley using natural wool and traditional, low-impact processes. Artisans are paid above established local wage standards and work from their own homes, allowing flexibility around family life. Each piece is produced in small batches, supporting the continuation of heritage craft and a slower, more considered way of making.
