Moppet's 'Mexican menagerie' ceramic sculptures have been meticulously handcrafted from clay by artisans in central Mexico.
Each sculpture is one of a limited batch of only eight pieces, and has been commissioned exclusively by Moppet.
Worked by hand over a period of several weeks using polychrome clay and fired over wood, each piece is made according to the local sculpture tradition found only in this part of central Mexico where clay figures date from around 1800 BC.
We're so proud to be supporting this dwindling traditional craft of central Mexico and the family of master craftspeople who have created our tiny collection of 'Mexican menagerie' ceramics.
