Moppet x Love From Lexi

Lexi is a South London based illustrator heavily influenced by the home, interiors, sentimental possessions and the stories they tell. She has created this stunning design based on the Moppet wall hanging of the same name using watercolour and pencil.

Lexi says:

”I've long been an admirer of folk art and hand crafted pieces made by skilled artisans from all over the world. The Sumbal ABC tapestry really caught my eye and I love the use of colour and the playful motifs representing each letter. I primarily work in watercolour so I went about drawing each individual motif in pencil and then I started painting, trying my best to keep to the wall hanging colour palette. 

It was such a therapeutic exercise recreating this beautiful wall hanging on paper. I then pieced the wall hanging together digitally to create the print adding textures and tassels at the end.”
