A stunning pair of vintage 1940/50s German wooden bookends featuring a girl and a boy sitting on barrels in the style of Mertens Kunst. These hand-painted, die-cut wooden figures adorned children’s walls across Germany featuring the characters of popular folk tales. In great condition with the exception of the girl who is missing the top of the dolly she’s holding.
